Belly Update

I'm officially in my 6th month of pregnancy!!! yeah!!! That means only 3 more months to go, well....after this one.

I *think* I'm feeling the baby move. I really can not tell if it's the baby moving or my food moving around. I'll say its the baby.

My hubby however, has felt the baby move. (this is something that I'm not very happy about) One night when I was asleep he had his hand on my belly, and he felt and elbow, or something, move across his hand. This has made him very happy, me on the other hand, not so much.

That Pug

I'm currently not speaking to my pug. Let me explain the situation, and I'm sure you all will agree with me.
Over the past month or so, Frankie has been giving me a hard time in the mornings about going outside. He just stays in his bed and will not get out! I even tried getting him outside with treats, and not even that worked!

When I brought the situation to Donnie's attention he recommend that I feed Frankie earlier, and maybe then he would be more willing to go out. So the next day I gave him breakfast, and you know what? He stayed in his bed.

Next Donnie recommend that I take his bed away from him. So the next day I take Frankie's bed out from under him, and know what? He went to the couch, and went back to sleep! At this point I'm ready to strangle the cute little guy.
Then one Friday both Donnie and I did not have to work. Donnie was still in bed, and I was going to let Frankie outside. I told Donnie to watch and see how bad his little puggie boy is. So I told Frankie to go outside (as I do every morning) and he hopped out of his bed and went straight to the back door to be let out. I could have killed him on the spot.

Lucky for me Donnie does believe me. Even though Frankie keeps telling him that he is always a very obedient pug.
So, when Frankie starts to listen to me again, I will be speaking to him again.

Too Funny

Nate* is the two year old that I nanny for. During the day he will go around the house saying, "Mama at work." or "Daddy at work.". The other day the girls told me that when I'm not there he goes around saying "Stacey at work." I thought this was too funny. I tried telling him that I'm at work when I'm with him, but it was no use. :-)

*name has been changed to protect my dear little child. :-)

Best Mat Ever!

My parents celebrated Donnie's birthday last Friday night at their house. And one of Donnie's presents was a pug door mat! How cool is that? We LOVE it.

However, there is one problem. It is SO cute we don't want to step on it. We end up stepping over it, because who can step on cute puggie faces?

Weekend Fun

This weekend Donnie and I got to celebrate Katie's birthday! A group of us gathered downtown Rochester for the big event. It was very nice to hang out with friends that I do not get to see all the time!
What did you all do over the long weekend? Anything fun?

Scar Neck

It has been almost exactly a year that I had thyroid surgery. I'm not real happy about how my scar is looking so I made an appointment with the doctor so she could take a look at it.

She said a couple of things were going on. One, because I'm pregnant my estrogen levels are wacky. And because of this it makes the scar look funny. And second she told me was that I need to be using sunscreen SPF 55 on my face and neck.....everyday.

I'm now being good, and putting on my sunscreen every morning. So, if the next time you see me I'm more pasty white than normal, and smelling of sunscreen, you will know why.

Does anyone else wear sunscreen everyday?

Happy Birthday Donnie!

Yesterday was Donnie's big 32nd birthday! Every year I come up with a theme for his birthday so this year it was......drum roll please......a pirate party! Who doesn't love a pirate?
Of course we had to have pirate hats for this big event
And even Frankie had to get into the action.
After we had dinner is was time to move onto the pinata! It was a lot harder to open than one would think, but we had a GREAT time trying! Finally the head got separated from the body, and Donnie took care of the rest. :-)
Then it was time for cake. I had bought some hostest cupcakes, put them on a plate, and voila...a cake!
Frankie was sure he near all the excitement, and anything that would drop on the floor!

Shop Till You Drop!

I swore that I was not going to think about registering for baby showers till much later, but I could not wait any longer! A couple people are planning showers and I have been shower talking a lot in the past couple of days.

It all started out very calmly. I had gotten a coupon that if I registered at Target I could get a $20 gift card. I wanted the gift card, so I stared a registry online and just put a few things in it. However, after I got the gift card I could not stop! I stayed up until 1am this morning (I'm normally sound asleep by 10pm) going registry crazy.

So, I am registered at both Target and Babies R Us. Feel free to check them out, and shop till you drop! hehehe

hummm

So I stumbled across this article the other day telling that NASA runs this thing called a Bed Rest Study. In this study the participants lay in bed for 90 days while NASA sees what effect this has on their body. From what the article said you can have a laptop, tv, and gaming systems. Also they wheel all the participants into one room everyday with their heads together so they can play games.

Here is the kicker. They will pay you $15,000 to do this. $15,000 for laying in bed for 90 days does not sound all that bad. Knowing me, I think I could go about a week, and then I would go insane. Donnie said he could do it for sure. I asked him how he would survive without me for 90 days, but he was not very concerned about that.

So what do you all think? Could you lay in bed for 90 days for $15,000? If so, you can apply here!

Diapers and More

Someone asked me the other day how my diaper collect was coming along, so I thought I would post an update. As of today we have 1,371 diapers, leaving only 1,629 more to go! They have taken over Donnie's closet. Soon I will have to start storing them in the basement!

Also, you people are going nuts with the couple blue outfits that I did buy. hehehe I do love reading all the comments. All I would like to say is that I wear a lot more blue than I do pink, and let me remind you, I am a girl. :-)

Happy Mothers Day!

My mom and I celebrated mothers day yesterday. I, being the wonderful daughter that I am, came over and made lunch for her. We had a very nice time.

We also went to a mom 2 mom sale going on in Rochester. I had no idea what a big deal these things are! I ended up getting lots of clothes for the peanut, at very cheap prices. I could not get over how nice the things were at such great prices. I think its better than ebay! Needless to say I will be hitting more of these sales in the next few weeks.

And I'm including pictures of everything I bought for your viewing pleasure. Notice that everything in gender neutral. I still say 75% is not real good odds.
And of course I had to make a chart. This way I can keep track of what I have bought and I can see what I need more of!
For some reason, Frankie could not see what the big deal is. :-)

We Are Rich!

We got our stimulus tax money today!!! Yeah!!! I know many people are worried about this whole thing, like having to pay taxes on it next year, but to be honest I don't care.

Donnie's work has been slow, and with my medical bills coming in the money is very nice. So far we used the money to pay down the credit card bill, and pay some other bills.

Is anyone doing anything fun with the money? Let me know!

Happy Two Years To Us!

On Saturday, Donnie and I celebrated our two year anniversary. (the longest two years of my life. hahahaha just kidding) To celebrate we went to the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores, for a tour and some lunch.

The cool thing about our tour was we were the only people on it! The picture of Donnie above was taken at the playhouse. This was given to their 7 year old daughter by her grandma. It's the coolest thing ever! It has running water, electricity, a stove, and a refrigerator. This is the coolest playhouse ever!

Belly Update

You people are baby crazy! All the comments about baby. I do have a life you know. hehehehe

Okay here is the long awaited update. I think I'm about 19 weeks now, almost half way, and still feel crummy. I do not recommend getting pregnant to any of you that are thinking about it. :-) And do to the crummy feelings I have still not gained any weight. I hope this is not a problem.

I did have another ultrasound a little over a week ago. I don't have pictures from it, because the printer was broken at the doctors. The lady said I could come back and they could do it again when the printer is fixed, but I thought I would live without the pictures.

I know the big question is boy or girl. The ultrasound lady was 75% sure of its gender. However, sadly for you guys, we are not telling. This is for two reasons.

One, the lady is only 75% sure. that's not great odds. We would hate to get every one's hopes up, and then be wrong.

The second reason takes a bit of a story. I went to my dear friends Elizabeth's baby shower awhile back. A little bit before the shower she found out she was having a girl. When she was opening gifts I noticed a lot of little expensive dresses, and not very much from her registry. (however, after the shower I did check her registry, and she did get many things from it. I did not just see them at the shower)

So, my plan is, if people don't know its gender I will get more things that I need from my registry. And less clothes. I know its selfish.

Happy Friday!

I have not done a frugal Friday post in awhile, but I thought this would be a good day to do another one!

As my faithful readers know, I'm currently about 19 weeks pregnant. Early in the pregnancy I decided that I needed to buy some cheap maternity clothes. So, I then headed to ebay.
I ended up winning a lot of 12 pieces of clothes (including pants and shirts) for $40, plus shipping. I was a bit worried about how they would fit, and what shape they would be in, seeing that I have never bought clothes on ebay before. However, I was amazed when I got them. They were like brand new and they all fit great!
Also, I went to target.com and bought a few things on clearance. Because they were moving all the spring stuff out, and summer stuff in, they had lots of cool things really cheap. Also, I got free shipping!

So my tip is, check ebay, and target for cheap maternity clothes. Go here for more great tips!
