Pictures!
I know this goes without saying, but everyone LOVED Frankie. People were dropping food to him the whole time we were there! Frankie had a GREAT time.
On Christmas night we left Frankie at Deb's house so we could go visit my dad's family. When we got back my aunt was very sure that we never feed our pug. The whole time we were gone Frankie was giving my aunt very hungry Pug looks. She was feeling very sorry for him. Unfortunately for him those eyes do not work on his mommy and daddy.
I'm Home!
I'm home! The past week Donnie and I went to Ohio to see my family, and then West Virginia to see Donnie's dad. Now that I'm home I have spent the past hour getting caught up on the blog world. And know what? I got an bloggie award while I was gone!!!!! Grace awarded it to me. How sweet is that? However, I'm a little worried that I get this award when I have not blogged for awhile. Is this an award for not blogging? I hope not!!!
Pictures from our trip will be posted in days to come!

Weekend Fun
I did not have to work on Friday, so I got to spend a very relaxing day at home. By relaxing I mean laying on the couch watching court shows all day. Does life get better than this? I really don't think so. Also Friday, Donnie and I went to see the Wayne County Light Fest. We went last year and it was great, so we had to go again this year. I brought my camera, but I did not really have any luck taking pictures. However, I did take some on the way there that I like.
Saturday, Donnie and I did some much needed shopping, and wrapped more presents. We also went over to hang out with Donnie's foster parents for a bit.
That leads us to today. And there is only one word for today. SNOW!!!!!!!! Overnight we got hit with a lot of snow. So we skipped church and stayed in our pj's all day! Frankie was not too thrilled about going out in the snow. :-)
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

To Santa or Not To Santa
A couple of days ago, while at a Tastefully Simple party this subject came up. A women was telling how traumatized she was when she found out Santa was not real. I don't think I want to put my child through all this.
However, with this all being said, Santa still comes to visit me ever year. When I go to bed Christmas eve there are no present under the tree, but when I wake up there are presents! I hope not wanting to do Santa with my children does not stop Santa from still visiting me. :-)

Happy Tofu Turkey Day!
Frankie is still in the Detroit area at the Petsmart hotel. I hope he is doing well. Remember Courtney....your still on the emergency contact list!!! :-)
What is everyone thankful for this year? I'm thankful that no matter what happens in life God has given me a family that is always there for me. :-) Also I'm thankful that I have the most wonderful pug in the whole entire world named Frankie.

Happy 1/2 Birthday Donnie!
For his presents, I gave him a book that he had been wanting from Borders, and some Webkinz cards. Seeing that Donnie and I are WAY to into our Webkinz the cards were great fun for both of us!
Frankie, however was very convinced that the cards were for him, and proceeded to try to chew them open. This was VERY humorous.

Dads are Great!
So as it turns out, our electricity was fine, but the sump pump needed to be replaced. How crazy is that?
So my dad gave Donnie a crash course on how to replace a sump pump. During this whole process Frankie was faithfully supervising. He's such a great pug :-)

One Less Dog
Seeing that Puppy is now gone, and we only have two dogs, we had a bit of a celebration. I made this (of course I got it from the Tastefully Simple website) :
Crunchy Mixed Vegetable Bake
Submitted by Joy Rodas (MN) HQ Team Member
Ingredients1 - 2 Tbsp. Spinach & Herb Dip Mix*
1-2 Tbsp. Garlic Garlic™
10.75 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 oz. shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
3 (16 oz.) pkgs. frozen vegetables
2.8 oz. can French fried onion rings
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients in medium bowl; blend well. Stir in cheese. Place frozen vegetables in greased 9 x 13 baking pan; spoon soup mixture over vegetables. Mix to coat evenly. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until hot. Remove from oven. Sprinkle fried onions over vegetable mixture. Return to oven and bake an additional 5 minutes or until onions are golden. Serve immediately. Makes 12 servings.
I also made the Key Lime Cheese Ball. Yummmy. However I did not make it into a ball, I just made it in a Tupperware tub that I could easily throw back in the fridge.
After all the great food we played Yahtzee. If this is not a top notch celebration, I don't know what is!!!

Frugal Friday
Tonight for date night Donnie and I had dinner, and then headed to Borders. And to my HUGE delight there were two tables of things 75% off! Super cute things too! Note cards, journals, hand lotion, and gift sets. I picked up many things for myself, and got some gifts. They are great gifts to have on hand come Christmas time! Go check it out!

What a Day!
Today started off as a normal day. I met my dear friend Katie for Starbucks, and had a great time. On the way home I notice this tiny puppy in the road! Poor thing!!! So when I got home I made Donnie go with me to see if the puppy was okay. Well...by the time we got to the puppy another couple had stopped to check on it also. The four of us went and knocked on doors asking if it was their puppy.
Then the other couple left, and we were left with a puppy. So, we brought the puppy home, and put him in our kitchen. We then made up some found dog posters, and put them up around the neighborhood. And now we are waiting for its mommy and daddy to call.
If no one calls are we keeping the puppy? Nope. We are going to hang on to him for a week, and then if no one calls we are going to find a good home for him.
Anyone want a puppy?
We have a Winner!!!
Grace from Rose Cottage Lane! Congrats!

Happy Halloween!!
Before it was time for the trick or treaters, Donnie and I carved up some pumpkins. We has a blast doing this. I did the bat, which did not take very much time. Donnie, however, did a skull, and this took him a very long time. And you know what? I think they turned out great!
Frankie had to be in on the action, of course. We out him in his ladybug costume for the night. He was not too fond of the hat, so after I look some pictures, he was allowed to take it off.
Because the weather was so nice outside we passed out candy on the porch, and yes Frankie did help us. Everyone LOVED Frankie. The thought he was the cutest thing ever! And we tend to agree.
To our dismay the 30 goodie bag went very fast. Donnie had to run to CVS and get more candy, while I was holding down the fort!
But we had a blast! It was so fun chatting with our neighbors, and seeing all the kiddies dressed up. All and all Donnie thinks we had about 60 kids. Frankie loved all the attention he was getting from these 60 kids!
