Pictures!

As I stated in the last post Donnie and I spent Christmas in Ohio with my side of the family. This year we all stayed at my Aunt Deb's, so needless to say there was a houseful! My dear Aunt Deb even let Frankie stay in her house! She's a saint!
I know this goes without saying, but everyone LOVED Frankie. People were dropping food to him the whole time we were there! Frankie had a GREAT time.
On Christmas night we left Frankie at Deb's house so we could go visit my dad's family. When we got back my aunt was very sure that we never feed our pug. The whole time we were gone Frankie was giving my aunt very hungry Pug looks. She was feeling very sorry for him. Unfortunately for him those eyes do not work on his mommy and daddy.

I'm Home!

I'm home! The past week Donnie and I went to Ohio to see my family, and then West Virginia to see Donnie's dad. Now that I'm home I have spent the past hour getting caught up on the blog world. And know what? I got an bloggie award while I was gone!!!!! Grace awarded it to me. How sweet is that? However, I'm a little worried that I get this award when I have not blogged for awhile. Is this an award for not blogging? I hope not!!!

Pictures from our trip will be posted in days to come!

Too Funny!!!

So tonight Donnie and I had our small group from church. While we were there, another member of our group called from her work. She needed a ride to church on Sunday, and Donnie and I volunteered to take her. She replied with "I have to get there on time!" I took much offense to this seeing that Donnie and I have been on time to church for like 2 months now! However, she said she would find someone else to take her. I'm so hurt!!!

Weekend Fun

I know I have not posted in a very long time, but I thought I would take this time to catch up.
I did not have to work on Friday, so I got to spend a very relaxing day at home. By relaxing I mean laying on the couch watching court shows all day. Does life get better than this? I really don't think so. Also Friday, Donnie and I went to see the Wayne County Light Fest. We went last year and it was great, so we had to go again this year. I brought my camera, but I did not really have any luck taking pictures. However, I did take some on the way there that I like.
Saturday, Donnie and I did some much needed shopping, and wrapped more presents. We also went over to hang out with Donnie's foster parents for a bit.
That leads us to today. And there is only one word for today. SNOW!!!!!!!! Overnight we got hit with a lot of snow. So we skipped church and stayed in our pj's all day! Frankie was not too thrilled about going out in the snow. :-)
I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Yeah!

Today was wrap-a-palooza here in my livingroom! I got all the gifts that I have currently bought wrapped!! I'm very happy to have this done and out of the way. I'm also very happy that Donnie and I do not exchange gifts. I don't want to wrap anything else! hehehe
Also today I got something SUPER COOL in the mail. My dear friend Amy sent me the December issue of Real Simple! I love this magazine!!!! What an awesome thing to get in the mail today! Thanks Amy! Your the best! (when can I be expecting January's issue? hehehehe)

What Should I Do?

My finger is having issues with my wedding ring. Things were fine up until about 3 months ago. Now when ever I wear it I get a big rash. What do you all think I should do?

To Santa or Not To Santa

Seeing that it is that time of year I have been thinking a lot about the Santa situation. If Donnie and I ever have children I'm not sure if I want to do the whole Santa thing. I'm not sure I want to have Santa for years and years, and then one year say, about that Santa guy, he is not really real.

A couple of days ago, while at a Tastefully Simple party this subject came up. A women was telling how traumatized she was when she found out Santa was not real. I don't think I want to put my child through all this.

However, with this all being said, Santa still comes to visit me ever year. When I go to bed Christmas eve there are no present under the tree, but when I wake up there are presents! I hope not wanting to do Santa with my children does not stop Santa from still visiting me. :-)

Sick, Sick, Sick

Sorry for the long delay in a post. Donnie and I have been feeling a bit under the weather. The baby that I nanny was having some stomach issues, then I got it, and now Donnie is sick too. I will spare you all the details, but let just say our bathroom has become a very popular place to hang out as of late. I hope to be well enough to go back to work Monday!

So this past weekend I was working on our Christmas newsletter. Last year I took it to kinko's and printed it. But doing it this way cost me an arm and a leg! So this year I decided just to print them at home. Well of course, midway through printing I ran out of ink.

Donnie being the wonderful husband that he is when and got ink for me at Best Buy. Best Buy was having a promotion that if you spent so much money you got a free $5 gift card. And know what gift card he picked out for me? The happy Kwanzaa one. Too Funny

"Its beginning to look a lot like Kwanzaa, every where you go"

Happy Tofu Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! Currently I'm in Ohio blogging on my dear Aunt Deb's laptop. I'm loving this laptop! I might be asking Santa for one in a couple years. (thus giving Santa time to save)

Frankie is still in the Detroit area at the Petsmart hotel. I hope he is doing well. Remember Courtney....your still on the emergency contact list!!! :-)

What is everyone thankful for this year? I'm thankful that no matter what happens in life God has given me a family that is always there for me. :-) Also I'm thankful that I have the most wonderful pug in the whole entire world named Frankie.

Happy 1/2 Birthday Donnie!

Today was a big day around here. Donnie and I celebrated his 1/2 birthday! He even got presents!!! He is quoted as saying "I should have 1/2 birthday's more often!"

For his presents, I gave him a book that he had been wanting from Borders, and some Webkinz cards. Seeing that Donnie and I are WAY to into our Webkinz the cards were great fun for both of us!

Frankie, however was very convinced that the cards were for him, and proceeded to try to chew them open. This was VERY humorous.

Dads are Great!

So our house has been having some electrical issues. Seeing that my Dad knows all things electrical, he volunteered to come over tonight and check things out for us. While my dad was checking out the fuse box the sump pump started making some really odd noises.
So as it turns out, our electricity was fine, but the sump pump needed to be replaced. How crazy is that?
So my dad gave Donnie a crash course on how to replace a sump pump. During this whole process Frankie was faithfully supervising. He's such a great pug :-)

One Less Dog

Today Puppy found his forever home!!!!! Courtney from Paws for Life came and picked him up today and took him to a family in Ann Arbor. We are so happy that he has a good family to go to.
Seeing that Puppy is now gone, and we only have two dogs, we had a bit of a celebration. I made this (of course I got it from the Tastefully Simple website) :

Frugal Friday

I have not done frugal Friday in awhile, but I came across something today that I knew I had to share.
Tonight for date night Donnie and I had dinner, and then headed to Borders. And to my HUGE delight there were two tables of things 75% off! Super cute things too! Note cards, journals, hand lotion, and gift sets. I picked up many things for myself, and got some gifts. They are great gifts to have on hand come Christmas time! Go check it out!

What a Day!

Happy Birthday to me!!!! Yeah!!! I love my birthday!!!! Feel free to leave comments of birthday wishes.

Today started off as a normal day. I met my dear friend Katie for Starbucks, and had a great time. On the way home I notice this tiny puppy in the road! Poor thing!!! So when I got home I made Donnie go with me to see if the puppy was okay. Well...by the time we got to the puppy another couple had stopped to check on it also. The four of us went and knocked on doors asking if it was their puppy.
Then the other couple left, and we were left with a puppy. So, we brought the puppy home, and put him in our kitchen. We then made up some found dog posters, and put them up around the neighborhood. And now we are waiting for its mommy and daddy to call.

If no one calls are we keeping the puppy? Nope. We are going to hang on to him for a week, and then if no one calls we are going to find a good home for him.

Anyone want a puppy?

We have a Winner!!!

Thanks for everyone for the great participation in my giveaway. And we have a winner.....drum roll please........the winner is.....

Grace from Rose Cottage Lane! Congrats!

Happy Halloween!!

Seeing that this was the first Halloween in our house, I was very excited to pass out candy to all the trick or treaters. I had emailed a neighbor asking how many kids go trick or treating, and she said not very many. So I made up 30 super cute little goodie bags to pass out.
Before it was time for the trick or treaters, Donnie and I carved up some pumpkins. We has a blast doing this. I did the bat, which did not take very much time. Donnie, however, did a skull, and this took him a very long time. And you know what? I think they turned out great!
Frankie had to be in on the action, of course. We out him in his ladybug costume for the night. He was not too fond of the hat, so after I look some pictures, he was allowed to take it off.
Because the weather was so nice outside we passed out candy on the porch, and yes Frankie did help us. Everyone LOVED Frankie. The thought he was the cutest thing ever! And we tend to agree.
To our dismay the 30 goodie bag went very fast. Donnie had to run to CVS and get more candy, while I was holding down the fort!
But we had a blast! It was so fun chatting with our neighbors, and seeing all the kiddies dressed up. All and all Donnie thinks we had about 60 kids. Frankie loved all the attention he was getting from these 60 kids!
