Life

As I posted about before, I had been suffering with a large case of postpartum depression, and I wanted to update you all on how I have been feeling.

With the prayers of many of you, I'm happy to report that I have been feeling 200% better now. I feel that the Lord has healed me through medication, and therapy. I'm still on medication, and still seeing a therapist.

Looking back I feel that I have come along way. The first month was really hard. Donnie was doing almost ALL the child care, and taking care of me. I thought I would never be able to be alone with the peanut, but now all that has changed.

Thanks for all your prayers!

I'm so glad to hear that!! And so glad to hear you're liking Stroller Strides. Exercise is supposed to help too, right?? ; )

You definitely ned to check into a play group! I found mine on Meetup.com, and there are also usually moms' groups and play groups listed in those free local parenting magazines that are in news racks by the entrances of grocery stores and stuff. I just did a quick search on Meetup.com near Rochester (since I wasn't sure what your zip code was, I just used Barb's) and there's one in Dearborn Heights called The Little Peanut Playgroup. How funny!! We have been going to babies play groups since Charlotte was teeny tiny and she just had some tummy time and watched the other babies. Now she's actually interacting, and it's so much fun to watch!

I'm so glad things are smoothing out. It takes time and a lot of adjustment -- mentalling, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Be encouraged that you're seeing improvement. You're the perfect Mommy for Josiah -- whether you "feel" like it or not -- God picked YOU. Relax. ~~ Amy (oaks)

I am glad you are feeling better. How is Josiah coming along with being put down after feedings? Be strong he will learn but he is a boy and if anything like Donnie strong willed so it may take a while but I know you can show him who is boss. :)
