Hot, Hot, Hot!

For those of you that don't know me personally, I'm a fair weather gal. If the weather never got hotter than 75 degrees I would be a happy camper. I think I would do well in Alaska. The weather around here has been pretty warm for the past couple of days, and our house is even warmer. We do have air, but its REALLY old, and does not work all that great. So I have taken to looking online for ways to keep a house cool. Seeing that our house has NO insulation, we are getting some quotes for this. Does anyone have any idea about how to keep a cool house? Please let me know!

And now for my favorite game...name that plant!

This large plant like thing is growing against the fence in our backyard, and I have no clue what it is. It reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk. If this looks familiar to anyone please let me know! Thanks!

I am always full of advise. Did you get a home warrranty when you bought your home? If you did call them, but they will have a deductible. Our gas line warranties that we get with every closing covers air conditioners, even though they do not work with gas. The best part about them is that they do not have a deductible.Call your realtor if you not know what you have.At least this should get your air conditioner working better. It was 90 here the last few days.Hot hot.

Love,

Aunt Deb

P.S. I wish you could get all our kids to do blogs. I love yours.

I'm going to be entirely unhelpful. I haven't a clue what type of plant that is or how to cool off a house in the humid hotness called detroit. LOL!

I can tell you to not open the blinds/curtains when the sun is shining, even if it is not direct.

Close doors to rooms you are not in when circulating fans.

That's about it. I'd totally die without air. It was a prerequisite to marriage.

"Will you marry me?"

"Do you have air conditioning?"

"Yes"

"Then I WILL!"

Ok, sorry. But it's totally true.

Hugs,

Sherry
